UPDATE MAY 8, 2020
Per the BC Restart Plan, I will be reopening services effective May 16, 2020. I am very excited to offer sessions and coverage again after many weeks of uncertainty. Please be sure to read my health & safety guidelines around COVID19 and how sessions will be conducted moving forward and until further notice. Thank you everyone for your patience! I look forward to seeing your faces again! 🙂
UPDATE APRIL 30, 2020
The BC State of Emergency has been extended to May 12, 2020. In light of this, our numbers have slowed and it’s recommended by Dr Bonnie Henry to go outside and it’s less likely to spread COVID-19 outdoors.
At this point, Dr Bonnie has not given firm terms as to what can and cannot open up yet however legal marriage ceremonies are allowed with up to 5 people (Both of you, Marriage Commissioner and Two Witnesses). Technically, this means that a photographer may not be present however I would recommend you speak with your Commissioner to clarify and I may be able to position myself far away enough if needed. The 5 person limit only applies to the legal marriage portion where your Commissioner is present and the 50 or under limit is in effect after with Social Distancing measures in place.
What does this mean for sessions with me? I will be looking at re-opening up in-person sessions with some health & safety guidelines in place over the next few weeks once we get better guidance for BC’s reopening plans:
Changing to an Elopement
For any 2020 Couples looking to update their wedding photography collections to Elopement coverage instead, please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Adjustments can be made less your non-refundable retainer.
Changing your Wedding Date
For any 2020 Couples looking to move their wedding date, I will move your non-refundable retainer to your new date in 2021 with no added fees.
I am not taking any full 2020 wedding dates at this time and am taking consultations for 2021. I am currently booking 2020/2021 Elopements of 5 people or less are allowed and will be happy to be a witness if needed.
All new family session bookings will be documentary-style outdoor sessions. This is a great way to document your time as a family right now and there may not be more than 5 people present at your session.
You can still purchase digitals and tangibles online but note that professional print labs may still be on stay at home order. Giftcards/credits are available for anyone wanting to pre-book sessions to save for a later date.
**Social Distancing measures will be in effect for all in-person sessions and interactions. A minimum of 6ft of distance must be kept for all peoples not living in the same household. This information is subject to change as we receive updated news each day.
Please reach out via email if you have questions or are interested in booking me for photography services and we will discuss proper preventative measures.
UPDATE APRIL 18, 2020
On April 18, 2020, Dr Bonnie gave her update about the rest of the Summer and touched on large gatherings and events such as Funerals, Graduations and Weddings. It’s been advised that large gatherings where people come together to celebrate, hug, share food & beverages should be avoided.
SHARED APRIL 15, 2020
On March 15, BC called a state of emergency. Things have changed very rapidly since then and it’s been a bit of a roller coaster of a month for us. Right now, Working from Home and Social Distancing are encouraged and it’s become a norm for us to stay home except for essentials.
For the health and safety of our families, at this time, I will not be offering any in-person sessions or meetings as recommended by industry professionals and to allow time for our communities to become healthy again.
Still available are:
- Phone Consultations for 2021 Weddings/Sessions
- Digital or Tangible Product purchases (Note: Professional Print Labs are still on stay at home measures until further notice)
- Session Gift Cards (To be used at a later date when appropriate)
- Phone call chats with Jamie 🙂
I will still be taking orders on prints and digital products however please note that there may be a delay on prints and tangibles due to professional lab closures. For everything else, I’ll still be reachable via email.
Stay safe everyone!
