A Documentary Session isn’t ever staged which is why I love them! I am there to capture the real you, not a Pinterest version of you. Being in the business of capturing memories is a funny one. We work constantly to improve our business and sometimes forget what makes a photo.
Over the last week, my business partner’s sister came to town to visit. A sister is more than a good friend. They are your partner in crime. They understand you, laugh at your jokes and aren’t afraid to call you out!
I met these lovely ladies at Lonsdale Quay just a block away from our studio, a place I frequent more now and am starting to fall in love with! It’s too bad I don’t have tonnes of cash to buy artsy fartsy stuff all the time!
We did a bit of a stroll on the boardwalk then headed inside to do the touristy thing. If you’ve never been, Lonsdale Quay Market is full of cute little shops that sell all sorts of trinkets from jewellery, clothing & soap to fancy chocolates and tea. Of course, we ended up in an arts & craft store that sold all things handmade. I caved and got myself a crystal bracelet.
After a bit of shopping, we headed towards the pier. Meg and Elisa shared some family stories with me and we laughed our way down towards the end and caught a nice view of the Vancouver skyline.
We decided to be rebels and head to a patisserie, Thomas Haas and had macarons for late tea – the best 🙂
Thanks, Meg & Elisa for having me capture your little sister date!
