Being a family photographer has brought out a whole other side of me that I didn’t know I had. When I first started as a photographer, I hadn’t had much experience working with children. I wasn’t sure how to act around kids. Is it ok to laugh? Can kids eat all that candy? Are they crying because they want something or is it serious? I’m so happy to have gotten to work with all the wonderful families I’ve photographed over the years, some of which have been with me since the beginning at their weddings! It makes me so happy to be a little part of your journey.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the Lam family a couple times already this year. This time, they put up their Christmas tree. Belle is at an age now where every Christmas tree is magical, bobbles are amazing and a photo must be taken with each and every one she sees.
As mom still had some work to do that morning, Papa Lam helped get Belle in her festive outfit. She had the cutest little reindeer clip ons. Belle waited very patiently as dad pulled out all the decorations and the tree. She couldn’t help but pop open the top of that tote to sneak a peek at the magic. If putting up the tree was an activity that could happen daily, Belle probably wouldn’t mind. We did quick vacuum, snuck in a little snack and soon enough, mom was ready!
Being able to capture this for the Lam family was super special. Looking forward to many more years of traditions! Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
