Alex and Dilek chose the beautiful VanDusen Gardens to declare their love for one another. The park is filled with gorgeous greens and flowers even during the summer months.
To get the jitters over with, they chose to do a First Look. We tucked away in a nice cool spot as Alex waited anxiously for Dilek’s arrival. As she approached, you could see the expression change in Alex’s eyes! How beautiful is she with her long elegant veil!
Friends and family gathered on the Great Lawn where a gorgeous archway stood with sheer drapes and little golden candle holders.
Without fail, August long weekend is by far the hottest weekend of the summer in my experience. There was not a single cloud in the sky! Hey, no complains!
After a few family portraits (these are must-haves!!), we headed back to the main building of the gardens where guests were enjoying a very tasty platter set up byTruffles Fine Foods . Everyone chit chatted and enjoyed the park.
As festivities went on, everyone was very eager to get the party started and soon broke into a little Turkish Wedding Circle Dance! I love when traditions are celebrated in modern-day weddings. If you’re having traditional aspects to your wedding day, count me in!!!
When the evening cooled off, I stole A+D out for a few sunset photos (You should always escape for sunset photos on your summer wedding day! The light is amazing!). We walked out through the florals and greenery. There were parts of the park that made you feel like we weren’t even in Vancouver anymore.
Thank you Alex + Dilek for an amazing day. Congratulations!
I created a Fast Paced Photofilm for this wedding which I’m super excited about! This is a great way to relive your day if you haven’t hired a videographer. It’s like a Charlie Chaplin-esque film 😉
